As for your 80% 0-post response, you may very well be correct. In fact, you are. Most boards, even large ones, get 90+ % of their posting from 15-20% of their membership. That is a fact. I have been administering various forums for a number of years, and this has held true for most that became active. The more folks you have registered, the more folks that end up posting. Most members are lurkers and occasional visitors, with the core 20-30% being your active community.

Very interesting.

Did concurrent users fall at all?

How was ad revenue affected?

Actually, concurrent users have not fallen, and have been on the increase. This is likely also due to the effort I put in to marketing and advertising. As for revenues, they have remained somewhat static (but I do see the risk there). On that note, however, I have not put forth a great effort of monetizing, but will work on that more so as the spring approaches, which is when this type of community lights up.

It's all opinion sir. Yes, facts were provided, mixed with opinion. Like I said in prior posts, I do respect your knowledge, all I was asking for was constructive feedback. Your choice on further response. This is only the internet, and no real sweat off my back, as I have a full time life away from my computer as well. No ill will was really intended, really, just mild frustration on the tone.

Well - you sound like you're taking an analytical approach, so you should be ok, as long as you keep an eye on all factors.

More traffic is not always better if the traffic is not meaningful, or targeted. If the traffic bounces because of forced registration or non-accurate search results, then is near 0 value traffic. Likewise, other factors even such as ad optimization must be considered. Our users have noted that ad placement itself can significantly improve revenue with the same traffic levels.

So, we not only have to get more traffic, we have to be proactive in making the best use of it when it arrives.

My apologies. I was taking things a bit too seriously the other night, and kid of piped off a bit. I do appreciated your responses, and take them under serious consideration.

Like many, I can get too fired up at times, for no real reason, spending too much time working and not enough time relaxing.

Again, my apologies.

Agreed. Trying many things to get where we want to be. It's a fickle space, especially in the northeast USA, being our fishing season is about 7 months of the year. We are gaining traction daily, and I know, for a fact, vBSEO has assisted in moving us forward.
