    GA Segmentation - weird results

Well, I've had my segmentation up for about 3 days now. It's working pretty good, but i'm getting weird data.
    Code:
User Defined Value Visits Pages/Visit Avg. Time on Site % New Visits Bounce Rate
    1. guest 16,186 2.45 00:02:50 70.19% 0.38%
    2. member 1,835 9.62 00:12:55 2.78% 0.76%
    3. (not set) 753 2.50 00:02:05 63.35% 73.31%
    4. Unregistered 5 1.00 00:00:00 0.00% 100.00%
    5. UbuntuWiki 1 1.00 00:00:00 0.00% 100.00%
    6. bolhaFoto 1 1.00 00:00:00 0.00% 100.00%
    7. pagetype:content 1 1.00 00:00:00 0.00% 100.00%
    8. stray_user 1 1.00 00:00:00 0.00% 100.00%
how does the hard-coded 'member' and 'guest' get overridden with other values? and whats up with the weird ones like stray_user?

    anyone have insight?

Brian, Just to confirm.. you are more concerned about a stray user than you are a bolhaFoto? ;-)

I'm guessing your (not set) are folks blocking something (cookie? javascript?) or spiders?

Do you have UbuntuWiki installed on your server or is that an inbound link from somewhere?

Brian, you can dig into corresponding stats segment to find out where are these hits coming from.
From what I see, most of these entries have "landing page" in SE cache (google/msn), so it looks like se cache adds it's own segmentation variable, while there is *your* analytics tracking js code in cached copy of the page.

i can't find anything about bolhafoto in google. in fact, this thread and one other not in english and the only two results pages.

if they have JS off, the script won't run at all, let alone track.... so i don't think it's JS off.
cookie... it should still track as a member or guest, but might skew the results of 'uniques' and visit lengths... things of that sort.

Do you have UbuntuWiki installed on your server or is that an inbound link from somewhere?
I don't have that installed... and frankly, i don't think it exists. From what I can gather, that's a sedo parked spam/ad site.

    digging deeper,
both ubuntuwiki and bolhafoto are sourced from google so i guess that makes sense.
