    Formatting of Google listing?

    Just a couple questions...

    > How do some websites have nice formatted bullet links below their site name in the google results? How do they get their listing to appear like that?

    > I have a custom vbseo listing that i am testing and it shows the title fine but then the text below the title is my navigation links???? How do i ensure that it displays the meta description instead? What is breaking? I wanna fix before all my custom links get indexed incorrectly...

    btw... my custom page uses vb's footer and header...

    Chances are that you are serving the same meta description that your other site pages like your Forum home uses. (The stock vB behavior if you include the 'headinclude' template); which may or may not be relevant to your custom page.

    Thanks for the first link... kewl...

    regarding the other question, i guess i shud correct what i said... i am actually using a custom headinclude template so i can use a different metadescription... it is a dynamic page with IDs but every ID has its own metadescription...

    any other suggestions why i don't see the metadescription?

    How many characters shud the metadescription be? Do the search engines frown upon largeones?
