    Figures dropping

Before i had a wordpress based site and vbulletin forum but now i have the vbulletin forum and CMS working as the site with VBSEO with over 150 redirect 301's from my old articles.

Before i was getting 1200-2000 visits a day in awstats. Now i'm lucky if i get over 300.

What the hell is going on?

I've lost over 1000 visits since going to vb and vbseo???

Your url structure has changed , you'll surely face a drop at the beginning and keep in mind vBulletin Cms is not Wordpress.

For the first 30 days you'll possibly see changes and after 30 days your new urls will be probably completely indexed. There is no actual answer for this but you may try to ask reconsideration within Google webmasters tool

Mert - I don't want to hijack this thread but it's along the same lines as this question. I run a site that has quite a good amount of traffic and posts. While I'd consider vbseo in order to optimize some of the areas that probably could use it, such as the downloads sections which has a long string, I'm worried about stories like this that occur once you change URLs. Asking to reconsider seems a very dangerous and risky path to take. I'm wondering whether vbseo might be a good idea to use for new sites but maybe not for existing sites of some volume. (a) Is there a lower risk way to change your forum urls, and (b) can you change some but not others, e.g. change the downloads II plugin URLs but not change the forums in general?

    Hello Michael ,

If you only use vBulletin , it is not a risky move because vBSEO auto 301 redirects all vBulletin URLS. However the situation on this thread is mainly a change from Wordpress to vBulletin CMS + vBSEO. vBulletin CMS is not that optimized as Wordpress regarding html structure and all urls need manuel 301 redirect rules from Wordpress to new format.
