Does new like system makes any load issue? Can someone explain with technically

I had recently some problem with the server i need to investigate one thing. Is there any potential load increase when like enabled wth 3.6? LEt's say it's a big board and thosands of daily likes. Does it make load as much as REP system or less. If explained i'll thank you. Imagine it'll have millions of likes in 1 year. will i need extra server for it

Like system is designed very lightwise and it shouldn't add any additional load to your system. We are using it on our big board that averages 19k posts per day and like system added no additional load.

As the new technology taking place in the market, the system is designed very lightwise and it shouldn't add any additional load to your system. Any new load can decrease the speed of computer & internet.....
