    Division of categories and forums

Alright. My head Admin and I were discussing a few things today and were wondering if someone with more SEO expierence can shed some light on this topic.

If Gun company A, makes 3 different cars. We would have the forum normally setup like this:

    GunCompanyA-gun1
    gunCompanyA-gun2
    gunCompanyA-gun3

    gunCompanyB-gun1
    gunCompanyB-gun2

    This address would look like
gunsite.com/gunComapnya-gun1/topic.html each time...which could get irratating I think

and so on. Wouldn't it be much more efficent to have it like this

    gunCompanyA
    --gun1
    --gun2
    --gun3

    gunCompanyB
    --gun1
    --gun2

    This would look
    gunsite.com/guncompanya/gun1

It would clean up the Forum home template a little more, and then also would make the people who are really looking for the content in the right place.

Again I am not an expert here, but just wanting someone's input on this. This also might be a bit confusing, so please ask any questions for a better explaination.

    Thanks

The second method does look a little more visually organised and appealing, but i guess having so many subforums could make it difficult for users to successfully interact and discuss; perhaps you could try and make the subforums appear directly on forum home?

At the moment, I think it`s set up so that you will get gunsite.com/gun1/topic.html, at least my subs get tailed right after the domain.
