Disallow vBulletin Blog?

I'm getting a bit frustrated with the vBulletin blogs seo aspect. Google Webmaster tools tells me that I have about 2000 pages with the exact same title ( almost all from the blog). And of course, almost 2000 pages with the same meta information.

I have to assume that this hurts more than it does good. Should I just disallow everything about the blog? Doesn't seem to get that much hits anyway from the serps.

How would I go about to stop all crawling of that SEO-nightmare?

What have you done about it?

No one has anything to say about this?

All my blog pages list perfectly on google actually. But i did disable SE's to index blogs/list/ pages via robots.txt as all blogs/list/ pages are duplicate content of blog listings. In order to do the same you can add the following to your robots.txt

What about all the retarded listings by date? I have at least 3000 pages listed with exactly the same meta information as my frontpage. How can that be good?

Can I somehow deny all listing by date?

All listings by date are also under blog/list/ directory so they will not be indexed by SE's also.

I am having a similar problem. The urls that google is talking about are date entry listings for users that have blogged.
It tells me it is not happy that they are duplicate title tags. The urls are in the form:
/forums/blogs/{username of person that has blogged before}/{year from 1974ish-2028}/{month}/
I am not sure what to do to fix the templates or block google. Any ideas how to cure this?

Actually that is an important bug which Jelsoft should have been corrected ages ago and it has been reported by Brian long time ago , however it is not fixed or a vBulletin staff didnt even replied yet

You shouldt do that. Those are just warnings and becuase vB Blog is currently bad coded , you'll continue receiving them. An alternative format is what i suggested. Just change your all year , list url rewrite format to a global setting which will start like blogs/list/ and then block them via robots.txt.
