disallow html link to the register people in the forum

can you please direct me in the admin cp how to disable the option of links to the register people.
I don't want to have the option to the people to link their text in order to avoid spam.
how ever I would like to keep this option only to me - the admin

Hi Dan,

If I am not mistaken, there is no special setting to disable a bbcode for a specific usergroup. You may want to check vbulletin.org for modifications to fight with spam.

I created a new usergroup for 'senior memebrs' and adjusted the 'registered members' default group to have limited permissions (including no sigs, no pm, no attachments, etc) with an auto-graduation to the senior group at 15 posts. Generally, my mods will catch a spammer before 15 posts have been made by anyone. keeps the board pretty clean.

I'm also looking for this. Some buggers are posting How to convert dvd to iphone type tutorial spam all over my board (to collect CPA affiliate money for softwares). Tired of cleaning this mess every day.

Consider adding some active spam tools.

The Spam Decimator works well, as does the prevent spam tool.
