Disable SEO Links in posts for unregistered users

Is there any way to disable/turn off SEO converted urls for unregistered users? I have a vb addon that disables regular unconverted URLs but urls that have been rewritten to display the links keywords are still active.

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Jim

Doing so would be bad as those are the links that Google will see, so they would be seeing the .php extensions.

Yes, I agree with you Michael didn't forget Google is unregistered member so all search engines will see your URLs with vBulletin default non-SEO'ed URLs

What does the mod do Jim?

Is it supposed to prevent these users from being able to post links, and the presence of vBSEO is causing it to post the link?

I forget what it's called at the moment but the addon I have treats spiders and search engines as registered users. I'm not sure if it's like that site wide or if it's just for the who's on page or the what's going on stats.

Anyway, what can I do since I want to turn off links in posts to unregistered users. I'm trying to get more guests to register. All they do is read my content and leave.

Ok if you go to this thread on my site you will see what I mean.. some links are blocked out and some are not.

The ones that are blocked out to unregistered guests display:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

the ones that are not blocked out are the vbSEO converted ones that have keywords on that site such as the link below:

    Growing Hydroponic Tomatoes Home Page

Ah, I understand now what you mean
Hide links for visitors I'm already use it in my site but replace these words with image because Google may index in some threads in your forum with "[Only registered and activated users can see links.]" so add the same words in image and replace the Mod phrase with the new image

Oh ok I didn't know you could use an image. That should fix the problem I'm running into. or will it just keep google from indexing the phrase "[Only registered and activated users can see links.]" ?

That's will make Google didn't index your hide content because it's an Image and as you know in search results Google didn't display the images only display some words of the thread and not the thread image.

    Isn't that cloaking?

I don't know if it's cloaking or not. I'll look into that later. I just would like to know how to make ALL links in posts be blocked/masked/turned off (whatever you want to call it) to unregistered users instead of showing those keywords.

you will have to code a plugin to look for both registered/guest and search the text for <a href tags and perform a replace. This is not built into vbseo. You should ask the mod author for help.
