Did vBulletin Acquire vBSEO? What is 3.5.0 release schedule

    1. In the vBulletin announcements some of the avatar titles imply that vBSEO folks work for vBulletin. I also noticed that the logo above the forum changed. Was vBSEO acquired?

    2. I keep checking back to see if there is any discussion about going from RC2 to Gold on 3.5.0. Almost 2 months after vBulletin 4 came out and a month of silence since RC2, it might be nice if there was some sort of "...we expect a Gold version by ....

    Thanks!

    Hi Rich,

No, vBSEO is still owned and operated by Crawlability Inc., not Internet Brands.

We don't have release dates. We release when we feel bugs have been found/tested/fixed. RC3 will release shortly, followed by 3.5 gold.
We don't just put GOLD status on anything because the date tells us to.... our Gold is ACTUALLY Gold.

    1. Thanks.

    2. I don't recall asking you to set a date but the occasional update on progress might be nice. Whether or not it's Gold, there are a lot of sites using 3.5.0 on production sites and it's working really well. I appreciate the desire to have a quality release.

RC2 is working pretty good. There are some known bugs, but nothing show-stopping. If there were, we would have released RC3 a while ago to patch those bugs. The RC2 build you can download is running here on vbseo.com

Yeah, I've been using RC2 since release. That's what I was referring to as working really well.
