This is not supported, but vBSEO will automatically 301-redirect old URL to the new one.

I don't understand ... Let's suppose the name of the thread is ABC and the admin renames the thread title to XZY, then when someone clicks to like to ABC from another website, would they get 301 redirected to XYZ as soon as they encounter the vbSEO script installed on the forum ?
Another question, are individual posts also 301 redirected to individual posts of the new thread ?
I ask because sometimes people like the answer given my some person in a thread and link only to that post.
PS : I'm trying very hard to build pagerank for as many pages and posts on my forum as possible and we need to change thread titles often.
Yes, it will auto 301 the thread.
Do you mean showpost? We recommend that you disable the showpost and use a permalink to avoid duplicate content.

Thanks for the quick reply !!
I understand ... The post would reside on the same page if posts can't be displayed individually, the pagerank is for posts, not pages ... So if a post has been linked to from other websites, it's still increasing the pagerank of the entire page, not the individual post itself ... Did I understand that correctly ?
