Changes in URL

Hey guys.
I need some help with my forum url structure. When i installed VBSEO i did not know much about SEO. Today i know a bit more but still not alot.

So i have the following problem.

This is the url to my Volvo category
Volvo - Bilforumet

This is the url to my Volvo 200 series category
200 Serien - Bilforumet

BUT the url for the 200 series forumposts looses the Volvo brand
Motorbytte B21A vs. B230E Trøbbel ! - Bilforumet

Now the URL is lacking one of the most important words, Volvo.

To fix this i have come up with a couple of solutions.

Solution 1
Add Volvo word to the subforum 200-Series. /Volvo-200-series/*

Solution 2
Change settings in VBSEO to include Volvo in the url on posts.

Solution 3
Do both

What kind of effect will these changes has to my site? If i change the url structure is it possible to set up forward for these changes? Or is this done automaticly.

And is it worth it? I would love to hear everyones 2 cents on this.

Given the size of your site, I would not recommend changing anything. Keywords in urls are not as important as they used to be and search engines are smarter.

Unless you're having serious ranking troubles in your forums, I wouldn't change a thing.

Okay. Then i think i need to put the important other places. Since now there can be a thread in the Volvo section that does not contain the word Volvo at all. And i guess thats bad.

According to my keyword list form Webmaster tools i get alot of traffic where i have bad ranking.

Like Volvo 240 brings in 880 clicks but im at resuts 63. My site should be on the first page when i look at the sites that are there. The questions is how do i get it to be there.

I guess its gonna help with a new VB skin with right Hx tagging. Let me know if you got any other tips.

BTW: About 70% of our traffic is Google organic traffic.

Getting the on-page template together will help more than changing a url ever would. headings, less images, more content, etc.
