Is there a way to change all the last post links to last thread. This would be a great way of getting all the latest threads on the homepage and indexed by the search engines. It would also stop duplicate content.
Any Ideas?

you don´t need to change anything. the lsatpost-links redirect to the threadpages with anchors (#232). these anchors will not be indexed by search engines, only the tread-url .

The anchors arn't indexed by google which is great, but they are indexed by both yahoo and msn
