I've being tempted to by the Blog addon, but I notice by visiting other forums bigger than mine, that members do no use them a lot.
What are the benefits of having this?

I've being tempted to by the Blog addon, but I notice by visiting other forums bigger than mine, that members do no use them a lot.
What are the benefits of having this?
It totally depends on your member base and site niche. I have 2 blog license. One is busy and members love to use it. On the other one there is totaly 2 blog entries so it is an actual waste
You may want to discuss this with your members.

IMO, the only people use it are n00bs who get lost and think it's a forum.
I wish i never installed it.
I share the same opinion!
Most Blogs I found are empty ...
I like the blogs on vbsetup and would install it again if I hadn't yet.

I think the blogs would be better restricted to a user group of staff only or selected writers. A lot of spam and low quality content ends up in there that would be better positioned within the forum (except for the spam part of course).

That's what I think ... and the same with profile messages.
I had them turn on, then turn off, now they're on again!
Lets see how it goes!
