Yes Ace,
Ive tried everything, I can get the redirects working, but then loose the arcade, or keep the arcade ( which for my lot, is a must) and have no redirects
Is a right royal pain in the bum,
Thanks for your efforts though

the first result on site:www.chatanplay.com/arcade/talking-point
does not seem to be working... still takes me to the arcade directory. I assume you turned these rules off to enable the arcade.
Have you considered moving the arcade up a level?
ie,
site.com/games/arcade folder
that way you can direct all ^arcade urls (starting with arcade) and the games sub will be useless, but will allow for both to work perhaps.

Sounded good, i got excited for a minute
Did as you suggested, but, as soon as arcade folder gets moved, it breaks. I moved it to /games/arcade then tried to launch it and all hell broke loose lol
Dont worry, this isnt a vbseo issue, its mine. I will just have to live with it.
One thing though, could you perhaps enlighten me as to how i can get all the now redundant indexed urls removed, or is it simply a matter of time before google does its thing?

They will eventually drop from being 404'ed.
Just make sure your sitemap is up to date and google should update pretty quick.

problem now resolved wooot
A Big thank you to you all, especially Ace Shattock who took time out and in his free time fixed the arcade paths issue for me.
Not sure How he did it, but a BIG THANK YOU.
My old indexed URLS now work using the smple .htaccess rule in my /arcade folder, and the arcade works
Thank you all for your time, patience, and helping me resolve an issue that had nothing to do with vbseo
regards
