Banner adverts - what is fair to charge?

I am just about to start offering banners spots on my forum.

I have no idea what to charge though.

What is a good eCPM to go with? Like the industry average or something.

There is no industry average.

One way to figure a good fee is to look at other sites similar to yours and see what kind of rates you can get from them.

For a 468x60 banner, some sites are lucky to get .50 cpm, other sites can get much higher.

Its a computer forum, so its a fairly high paying niche.
