auto thread tags?

I'm curious to know how other people deal with thread tags. Most users don't add tags to their threads, and some that do are using bad key words. So with that said, how do other people deal with this? Do they use mods that look for common words within a thread?

I would advise against an auto-tagger. it simply splits titles and makes each word a tag. Too many tags is just as useless as no tags.

Also that's cause problems with tags table, I've tried it many times when I convert database to UTF-8 the generated tags will not convert.
