Anyone else seeing a huge amount of Google Spidering?

I just looked at my Bot activity logs and Google has basically skyrocketed

Could this be the beginning of Google fixing itself? I sure as hell hope so (The last entry is only from 12:00AM to 3:00AM)

It really seems to be the case, great stats!

No. of indexed pages is dancing it was 2,00,000 now dropped down to 7000
i dont understand this

Lots of people have had huge drops in numbers of indexed threads over the last couple of weeks. Just Google doing its thing again....

Dont worry last week i also had the drop but now i regain even more than i lost

I do not know if this is certain, but some guy over seas got a mod rewrite rule to rewrite thousands upon thousands of subdomains and let the googlebot spider them. Not only that, but this intelectual man also put google adsense on it and made some chump change. This alone, accounted for 5 billion pages, which might be why it stopped spidering yours for a little while. If anyone would like a copy of the e-mail, please send an e-mail to travis@yaristuners.com and I will forward it to you. It is quite the interesting read and the guy from Moldva, which is sandwiched between Ukraine and Romania. Again like I said, this might not be it, but it is quite the coincidence. The only way to fix such a problem (google) is for the google techs to manually go through the index and delete 5 billion pages.... Fun eh?
