Advice on moving a forum from Invision to VBulletin

Hi,

I already run two vbulletin forums, and I've come into ownership of an Invision Powerboard forum.

I'm thinking of moving this over to vbulletin for a number of reasons, and then installing vbseo.

Just wondering if anyone has undertaken this using the Impex tool, and what I need to do to ensure a clean transition with regards to the urls.

Thanks.

I did it on my site. It went quite smoot as long as you read the manual if you need to troubleshoot.

MAKE sure you have a GOOD backup before you start. You do not want to start without having a backup and something happen to go wrong...that wouldn't be very good.

Also, there is something you can do with the tables so your members don't have to change their pw's, but I forgot what it is. I know the owner of transversestyles.com knows how to do that FYI.

It was the worst 56 hours of my life.

Make 5 backups.

all your links will die, and you'll need to be re-indexed from scratch.

I changed from ibf to vbulletin solely for vbseo.
if ipbseo existed, i would have stayed on ipb.

Thanks for the info. Question is, was it worth the move?
