Adding links to words, good or bad seo

Thats the link to the 3.8 version, he also has one out for vb4 series

It looks very adaptable with the options of only having it in certain forums, certain user groups etc etc

This must be more productive than tynt for producing backlinks from scrapers
There are several blogs out detailing how to kill the tynt links when people are scraping you

What would be the implications if you was to set the first or maybe three or four fullstops to have back links on them

Would it be classed as hidden links and have you facing the wrath of google

A simple copy/paste won't copy html embedded unless it's an advanced editor (like another vb forum). Otherwise, it will just copy the plain text to the clipboard.

I think it will have little effect.

Overuse can add too many links per page (google recommends 100 or less)
It won't do much for scrappers

    Cheers for that Brian
I know with tynt, just by turning java off in most browsers stops that one showing through my own testing on my forums
A simple full stop being linked, must be harder to see by the average eye rather than complete words
I tried doing similar with linking words with vbseo, but my members soon got peeved when all the links started showing on most posts. Plus it looked an eyesore

At one time one of the favorite ways link spammers used to work was to add smileys to posts with back links to their sites
By adding a link to a full stop, would no doubt be a similar underhanded way
I wernt sure if this had been jumped on hard by google

At the moment the net seems to have gone silly with all the wordpress kiddies scraping everything

A simliey us a bad thing to use as it contains no anchor text at all. It's basically useless.

Lee G., thanks for asking. I had the same question. Thanks, from a long time reader, short-time poster.
