    Adding google search to our forum?

    I we were to ad a google search engin to search our forums, would that improve the google rank? Thinking that if people search our site through google our serachwords would get more hits and that way make us climb

    The flaw in logic would be that Google is aware that it is a custom search from your site, and therefore, is not an effective measurement versus other competing sites.
    I was suspecting that, just hoping to get the indexing rate up a little aswell

    No - I do not believe it would have any impact.
