301 redirect for a single thread

Hi,

During merge of a thread, I screwed up when I wanted to merge posts from a new "same title" thread to an older thread.

Now the old thread is giving me url not found error, but I want to do 301 redirect from new url to old url

I tried 301 redirect through htaccess, but it isn't working

Redirect /forum/oldthread848.html http://www.mysite.com/forum/newthread25164.html

I tried that redirect on my forum htaccess and not on root. Is that a problem.

OK nevermind, I fixed it.

Somehow I had an extra space between second and third part of htaccess comand, which was breaking it.
