    3.5.1 PL1 upgrade questions

    I'm running vb 4.0.3 and vbseo 3.5.1

I read the upgrade instructions contained in the readme file and it discusses what to do with the Upload folder.

the 3-5-1 PL1 folder also contains an htaccess folder. does anything need to be done with the contents of the htaccess folder or are those items only for new installations?

anything else about doing an upgrade that I need to know?

just making sure, this is the first time I have needed to upgrade vbseo.

If you're already running vbseo 3.5.x, you have an htaccess file in place already and you do not need to re-upload an htaccess file (there are no changes in this new version).
Just do the FTP of the upload folder, and import the product, and visit vbseocp.php on your site to save your password and new key.

    thank you.

the instructions indicate that you must uninstall the current product. isn't it acceptable to simply import the new product, allowing overwrite?

this upgrade can be performed with our site live, correct?

The un-install is only if you are coming from vb3 to vb4. You can simply import the product with over-write, and yes, you can do it on your lie site. it is running here on vbseo.com
