I dont want to perpetuate an argument - but I do want to make one point.

I would submit there are many many many many many more links and posts promoting vbseo on vBfaq, then the other way around.

I have been working on reducing spam on my forums for some time, and I seem to have found a method of virtually eliminating spam from vBulletin forums... I wrote a tutorial on explaining how to do this.

Its been working for me and I have cut spam down to nearly -ZERO- on my forums.

Apparently such things as captcha and email confirmation annoys a users. Also I'am as user not and exception. Thus there is some other ways in protection the forum or a blog from spam without captcha, and I believe that users like them more.

I really wish that NoSpam! vBulletin plugin worked with vB 3.7+.
Right now we are using Prevent Spam, which can only do so much.. :(

We've chosen to use reCAPTCHA now but it isn't as effective against spambots as we originally thought..
