    I currently run eAccelerator. It seems ok.

    I could nver get xcache 1.2.1 to not segfault apache on me, so i gave up on it.

    xcache did do a better job i think (loads were slightly lower when it was functional/not locking up my server), but eAc is better than nothing.

    I installed xcache using these instructions, and now my server is down; none of my sites are coming up. I restarted apache after I changed the php.ini. Was that right to do, or is there anything else I need to do?

    No offense, but some of these posts are pretty scary (ie. none of my sites are coming up). I would be willing to pay someone to assist me with a solution (just pm me).

    I had a ton of issues with 1.2.1 but 1.3 is stable for me. Been running it for 4 months or so with no issues.

    Just installed 1.3.2 today, so far no problems.

    It did reduce my time to first byte by almost half.
