Google Search Instant Preview & SEO - Key Observations
If you are looking for both better rankings that is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and better Click Through Rates (CTRs) too for your website then you need to keep in mind the following points -

• Give more importance to the site UI & link structure.

• Use H1, H2, H3 etc in correct order.

• Avoid using larger banner images or flash. If you are using Images use descriptive images, avoid flash as it is going to effect the preview.

• Do not stuff keywords or write long text paragraphs without proper headings.

• Study your Google webmaster tool to see the CTR's and impression drops or rise. Optimize your page accordingly.

• Try using keyword phrases (group of keywords targeted on a page) in content paragraphs as Google is going to pick description snippet of the keyword which is being searched for from the web page.

I just saw the search results and clicks from google doubled in webmaster tools.
Today was the first day i saw this. Let's hope it stays like that.

Also with Google Instant Preview the Design of a website becomes even more important
because users will make more decisions based on the preview which effects your CTR.

I liked the article very much. I had to widen my seo for extra visual level. It's really interesting to see howit affects the CTRs. I believe it's going to help good sites to get more CTR. Usually they have better visual presantation. Is there any difference since yesterday on your CTRs? If you share that would be very valuable data for us.

It looks like it was only one day.
The day after Instant Preview was released. (11/11/2010)
The stats from 12/11/2010 are normal like the days before.
It's a small forum, only 10k posts. Nothing special.
