Darkblade, any chance you could share all yours here, i really like yours

and does anyone know what I need to add in the root htaccess so all 404 pages will go to that page and not just the forums and up, i am using a custom cms on my homepage.

Also, anyway to find out when people go to the 404 pages and what link they were trying to go to etc. would be handy fixing problems that may have caused them to go to that link. thanks.

If you guys like it, then I'd be happy to share it with you all. Also I have even created from 400 till 505 custom error pages which took me a while to do that.
you might want to change this page. you aren't supposed to have adsense ads on error pages...

Hehe I no longer own that forum so I wouldn't care really. Besides, I haven't actually added the ads on error pages. It's showing up on all pages 'cause I think I had it in the footer template or something.

http://www.vbseo.com/f34/create-cust...use-112121288/ displays a standard vbulletin no thread found message instead of a 404 message.

I want all my threads which are either deleted or do not exist as an example above to show a 404 not found. ?

I am displaying adsense on all pages of my forum because it is implemented into the navbar.
I just contacted google (again) to ask if this is ok with them (adsense on 404).

I have done that before for the UserCP (which is also a no content page) and they said it was ok with them.

I let you know what they said.

Just got the OK from google.
However they said that if they find that it has a negative influence on the advertisiers they will ask me to remove it from these pages.

That said you should ask google for yourself just to make sure and keep the response email from them in a safe place
