Want to make less posts per thread page...

I am thinking of having less posts per thread is better for me
currently I have 25 posts before the thread splits,
I want to lower it to 15 for faster loading,
I assume I must expect a re-index if I do that?

Would you think its better to do it in 2 steps, like 1st down to 20 and then in 2 or 3 weeks to 15?

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions

I wouldn't recommend changing this. I think 25 is perfect.

If you're having slow page loads, consider other options first. (lightening up your skin's weight, useless JS, etc)

If you're going to do it, do it once. Anything after page 1 will need to be re-indexed.

yes I already fixed many things to speed up my site,
removed the image i used to have as background,
added size and width to all images, - thanks that we have this cool option in our VBSEO

I will look if I can speed up all a bit more.

According to firebug and a random forum and thread i viewed,

Your forumhome loads in 3 seconds for me.
Your forumdisplay loads in 1.55 seconds.
Your showthread loads in 2.78 seconds.

If you ask me, your site is already very quick. Anything under 5 seconds is acceptable IMO.
