You are moving along quite well. What other methods do you use to build linkbacks from other sites?

I had gotten a majority of our links from the 3 vb styles we released

I've also released a few wordpress styles, but I honestly haven't had time to do a good job marketing them yet.

We've also done well with linkbait type articles, like this list of social bookmarks.

We've picked up around 70 links back for this one, I was approving the linkbacks, but I haven't checked it a while.
and whitemike released a recipe mod that has a link back to vbsetup.

We've posted a dozen of so other linkbait articles that have gotten us a number of links as well.
Other then that, I try to be active on other vb help forums, or admin help forums, always with a link to the forums in my sig

Just lots and lots of time, and trying to give the best experience to all members.
oh, we also added the vb geek's, GAZ which is a news letter. We don't exactly get many links from it, but it's sent out to 2500 members and we actually do get members stopping by just from the newsletter they just received.

There you have it folks. Creating higher level content that people will naturally want to link to. Sounds like a much better strategy than the link begging that occurs, i.e. automated software requesting links or link exchanges to otherwise random sites.

Man, google has been declining for the last 3 weeks from 19k to 12....

Any suggestions, msn has almost removed my site completely

Your indexed pages on the mcdar tool fluctuates between 12,900 and 13,800 for google on the datacenters I checked.

How's your traffic?

The traffic is still the same, what's the "mcdar" tool ?
