Traffic jumps immediately after upgrading vBSEO 3.6.0, why?

I have been on vBSEO for 3 years now and vBSEO never delivered any surprise to me so I felt it had been marginally effective. However this month, right after I upgraded from vBSEO 351 to 360, and also upgraded the sitemap, the traffic immediately made a very significant jump and the organic traffic remains much higher.

It's been only a week since the upgrade so I am not sure if the trend would continue.

But why upgrading would make such an impact? I am on vBulletin 3.6.8.

Organic traffic is not search traffic.... That's type-in's.

In my Google Analytics report, it says:

    Google(Organic) xxxx
    Direct xxxxx

Are you telling me the Google(Organic) is not from Google search engine?

Ok. I just found out the traffic jump might be because I resubmitted my vBSEO Sitemaps to Google, Bing and Yahoo on the date of the upgrade.

The sitemap indicates, before the resubmission, my Bingbot traffic was zero, and after that it was 1000+ per day. Googlebot number also increased.

Still I don't understand. I submitted them before to Google, Bing and Yahoo many times. Why do I even have to do it again?

There is an option in webmaster tools to re-submit.

If your traffic jumped significantly, it's possible that your search traffic was being redirected, as in
Google redirecting to filestore123.info - vBulletin SEO Forums

Make sure your site is secure.

Thanks but I am pretty sure I didn't have this redirect problem before the vBSEO upgrade.

Google Webmaster always reports errors on my sitemap - before and now
