Traffic drop

Has anyone else seen a considerable drop in traffic across their site(s)? Is it just the time of year (the weather recently became nicer) and people are spending less time online? Or is that wishful thinking?

Yes. I'm experiencing a traffic drop too.
(mostly because of a drop in search engine traffic which have a ~75% share)

I noticed similar trends in 2008 too. The traffic bounced back up in June.

Guys when you mean traffic drop how much you mean? Because I have an extreme traffic drop from May 1st, more than 60%, and I have no idea why this happened.

Did you make any changes on your site recently ?

No, but my site was hacked on April 26th, the hacker injected bad code to all of the files, and for 2-3 days the site had serious issues before I could correct everything.

You think that could be it? As a "result"? And if yes, can I expect a full recovery to the numbers prior to this event? Or is there something specific I should do ?

It's certainly possible depending on what the hacker did to your site. Did you check your Google Webmaster Tools for any error messages, etc?

Unfortunately i highly suspect , this is related to the hack you faced as having downtime effects your rankings. You should keep your settings unchanged and request a reinclusing within Google Webmaster

When you login to Google Webmasters account , on left you'll see your added domains and on right there is a small menu.

Just for the record, my traffic was over 3000 visits per day, and has dropped to 900-1000 now. I will post again if I have any news.

Well, after just a few days, my traffic is back just like before.

I'm guessing google did a reconsideratin much faster than I expected.
