    Tracking Norcalmotocross.com

I installed on the 16th of this month, so its been nearly 10 days.

I dont see any major changes from Google. I do see an increase in Yahoo.

I think that maybe my site just isnt something people stumble across. You have to be looking for it.

Our largest referrer is direct(none). I assume this is from return visitors coming from their favorites, shortcuts or typing the URL in.

    Our 2nd largest is ourself

    norcalmotocross.com[referral]

I am not to sure how that works. To I have to many links to myself? IS that why I have such a low page rank?

Anyway take for what is worth. I am not raving about the product, nor I am giving it a bad review. At this point I dont know that it was what we needed.

    Time will tell.

10 days is way too soon. Keep an eye on your referrals over the next several months.

Also, make sure you have vBSEO Sitemap 1.7 installed and submitting your sitemaps daily.

Has anyone done any research as to why some sites see instant results with vbseo and site like mine dont seem to get any change? Is this because my site is set up incorrectly. Is it because I already had as much market saturation as I can expect to get.

Some websites just take time. For example mine is aimed at a very specific group of businessmen and entrepreneurs. After almost a year on the web, Google is just now picking up some of the major keywords. You need x10 more patience than you'd normally have with these things

    Interesting.

Rude, do you think your success is VBSEO related or just the fact that Google finally got all your keywords etc indexed? Would they have done it anyway?

Im not sure on how to answer that. The biggest problem that I have is that my forum is aimed at a smaller group of people, and in that group there are tons of training websites, solicitation websites and one major forum that I have to compete with.
I do believe that vBSEO is kicking in more and more as the forum grows, but I think my initial boost has come from the fact that google is finally getting me out of the sandbox so to speak. vBSEO has had its immediate affect on msn, and later on yahoo however. But Google is Google...

Just as an update, last night I realized that google is ranking my forum on one of my more important search terms in second. I do believe that this was because of vBSEO. It's a very difficult term to rank so high up there for, but at the same time it's taken a long time for them to do it.
Over the last few weeks when my website was finally searchable through google, my rankings were shooting up quickly through the keywords.

Still no real change from Google of Yahoo. AOL did increase. I am starting to get a little discouraged with it. I think it would probably work really well for a site just starting out, but our site has been established for a while. Who knows. Ill check back with everyone next month

My FireBlades.org site was very large, and about 5 years old when I installed vBSEO. It took around 6 months to see any big results, but that was also during a time that Google was going through a lot of changes, so the time will vary from site to site.

    I have been reading http://www.vbseo.com/f84/4-months-no-improvement-11990/

I have made some changes to my robots.txt file and removed the archive link. Lets see what happens. Life is after all a giant experiment.
