    Installed vBSeo August 27, 2006 about 1 hour ago. I know there will be no results yet, but I wanted to start this thread so I can check my performance. I will update this weekly.

    Am I supposed to be this excited right now?! I can't wait for the results to come in

    Good luck with the new install. It's good to be excited but it can take weeks or months for you to get a real feel for results.

    And I'd strongly encourage you to use your number of SE referrals to track results. Fine to watch the # of indexed pages but those are fairly unreliable these days and the thing that really matters in most cases is how many visitors are being sent by the SE's. If you're getting the traffic that you want/expect, the # of indexed pages is somewhat insignificant in the grand scheme.

    That is a very good point you make rmjvol. I don't know why, but I just get a good feeling when I notice my index pages increase in search engines. I'm sure others feel the same way. But the main concern is that I focus on my goal of turning those indexed pages into good ranking pages which could possibly turn visitors into members.

    Install the sitemap feature and you can see the bots dropping by!

    Also, you can go to MarketLeap and it will make graphs for you.

    I love marketleap. Every month I enter in my site, and 2 other political sites to see what all the stats are like.

    Duplicate content is gone. What is the use of 1,000,000 pages being indexed if only 20,000 of them are actually original content that you want SE's to find?

    No. You want all your links going to the original thread. Not to your archive, print threads pages. You also want all your visitors to go to your original thread and not the archive or printthread. Therefore there is no need in having Google index these pages as then you are leaving it up to google to pick and choose what it shows.
