Honda CBR 1100XX Super Blackbird Forum

Well, since I recently sold my FireBlades.org site, I'm starting this one from the ground up. I purchased the domain name several years ago, but never did anything with it. I also picked up the .net, .org, and .info variations; all 301 redirected to .com.

It's a much smaller niche, so I don't expect it to ever match the success of FireBlades.org, but it gives me something to do.

I've started adding some basic content, and will continue to do so little by little.

So, as of Septermber 19th 2006, 0 pages were indexed in any of the big three search engines.

I installed vBulletin 3.6.1, vBSEO 3.0.0 RC5, and vBSEO Sitemap 1.7 from the start.

As of September 20th 2006, the home page was indexed in Google, and the big three search engines have already starting visiting the site a bit.

I haven't went public with it yet (only a link in my signature on a few sites), so still at the 2 initial users.

Congrats on selling Fireblades. I visited that site quite a bit. Look forward to seeing how your new one turns out.

Update after 5 days:

Even though it's known to be inaccurate, site:www.cbrxx.com is currently showing 50 indexed pages (out of 96 in my sitemap; 38 of which are showpost pages).

Showpost pages don't seem to index well, so I'm pulling them out of the sitemap, turning off rewriting them, and excluding showpost.php via robots.txt.

So, that means that ~50 of the 58 pages in my sitemap are indexed.

Referrals trending unward, great job.... o wait, guess they can't really trend the other way, hehe

I hope to "officially" open the site up next month. Running a contest too...

Well, one month since setting the site up, and about two weeks after starting to spread the word about the site to others, it's time for an update.

Google referrals are still erratic. Spiders are hitting the site hard, so it should all smooth out eventually.

The big dip on Thanksgiving Day was due to a mistake on my part, causing Analytics not to capture the traffic most of that day.

Well, the first PageRank update since I started the site, and the home page shows as a PR4. I'm happy with that as a start, for a site that has only been up for a couple of months.
