Tablet PC Questions

Installation on Tablet PC Questions was smooth. The defaults were used until today when I finally figured out how to get into the vbseo control panel (duh - read the directions). The biggest jump over the last day has been the spider activity.

Update: The number of bots for October 4th ended at 7,799 bots. Therefore, the site went from 2,405 bots on the 3rd of October to 7, 799 bots on October 4th. Better still, revenue more than tripled.

WOW. I hope this is a trend!

The site is humming along nicely now. Google news even points to some of the forums now!

Now I just need to figure out how to improve the site even more

Just a quick update to let everyone know that the forums continue to climb in Google. For example, Tablet PC Questions is now number 8 using the keywords "fujitsu tablet pc" and if you add "flash" to the phrase then TPCQ is number one. "acer tablet pc" is sitting at 13 ...

Very sad news ...

Tablet PC Questions has been number 14 on Google Search for "Tablet PC" keyword for well over a year. There was a drop to 18 the other day and today it sits at number 21. Organic traffic dropped in the last two days, too.

Thank you Joe. I have been working on the validation of the site the past few days and have the errors down to 36. Yet, line 381 is returning two table tags in a row and I cannot find the template causing this problem.

After fixing the validation, I was really worried because the site dropped on the biggest keyword for the website. Yet, other keywords were becoming more popular. Anyway, there was some really surprising news today ...

Two new forums were created the other day. These are already listed on the first page for google under Tablet PC Dell and Tablet PC Apple. I really do not think this would have happened without the vbSEO installed. Very cool. Now, if I could only get Google to index everything (all 30k posts) then maybe things would even be better. Usually, only a few thousand are searched each day.

Hope this inspires other forum owners to wait out the installation. After all, the installation was done on October 3 - and while there was a burst of 17k by Google - that quickly dropped to only a few thousand a day.

After fixing a hacker's mess today, I was going through log files and noticed a nice trend which might interest others.

Notice that the site was steady but not really growing until the last few weeks. First, new forums were being opened. Second, the server went down yesterday for four hours and the site was hacked today. Regardless, you can see activity is increasing.

The progress has been slow but worth the time. What did I change two weeks ago? I followed the guide on this site to make some changes to the templates.

January was a very successful month for Tablet PC Questions. We reached our highest number of visitors online and overall traffic for the day was high.

I hope the steady growth in January continues in February ...

I removed the ability for guests to see signatures ... and this was yesterday's surprise.
