Post Status Update Thread for EGS Online Gaming Services Forum

Status Update for EGS Online Game Services Forum - will be updated weekly.

    Week 1
BACKGROUND: eGaming Supply is a leading provider of online game services and accounts, and is notorious for a fabulous reputation of its MMORPG Market forum.

VbSEO was installed yesterday on May 29, 2008. Before vBSEO was installed, EGS was averaging 1500-2000 unique visitors daily with 40k-50k pageviews daily. The forums received 40-100+ "currently active users" simultaneously.

I will keep this thread updated to see how vBSEO has improved traffic and/or search engines rankings, if at all.

Please note that I have been optimizing the site for search engines through both SEO and link building for the past year to achieve the current traffic, rankings, and member-base that we have now.

It's been three (3) days since vBSEO was installed on my server.
Referencing to "Buy, Sell, Trade Game Accounts" Forum.

Though it has only been three days since we have installed vBSEO, we have noticed a few updates with some of the search engines and the rankings that we are placed for.

    Traffic:
Traffic has been staying steady for both the root site and our forums. No real update with traffic as of yet.

    Google: 25k UV
    Yahoo: 700 UV
    Live/MSN: 675 UV

    Search Engine Indexes:
Our site had a little over 13,000 pages index in Google. The count has decreased to 12,000 pages even but all the pages have been updated to the new link structure that vBSEO has created - talk about fast indexing!

To be honest, I've never taken a look at Live.com before nor optimized the site specifically for this search engine. As of now, Live.com has a little over 2,000 pages indexed of our site.

Yahoo! Search Engine has not been updated with vBSEO's new link structure as of yet, but the search engine has over 50,000 pages of our site indexed. Hopefully we'll see more than that when Yahoo! Slurp (bot) recrawls our site.

    More to come...stay tuned.

    Update: I'm a fool
Man...I never added the old URL structure in the sitemap so that it can all be picked up as 301 redirects by the search engines...have now updated it...bah.

So it's been about two weeks since vBSEO has been installed on the forum. Now my site has a total of 18,500 pages indexed in Google, and from what I see, is growing daily (yesterday was @ 18,300 pages indexed).

    So far, so good!

Actually - this is not that foolish. This is one feature that is falling out of favor.

If you are using it, keep an eye on your Google Webmaster Tools to see if they report any problems:

Now @ 44,600 pages indexed in Google.

We now have almost 12,500 registered members, 68,000+ posts in 23,900+ threads, and an average of 500+ members logging in each day - and growing daily!

Oh, and AdSense revenue has also grown WITH the forum/stastics. We made about $8-$10 daily with AdSense without vBSEO. Now we make $35-$50 daily with vBSEO!

AdBrite ads can make a lot more than Google Ads...
..but you do know that you can use them both together right?

Anyway, let's stay on topic now..
