Should it be taking this long to get results in Google? Yahoo? Dropping in MSN? I'm just not sure if it's working.

I've got a cron setup to run at 2:00am with the Google/Yahoo sitemap generator, but it's been slow to bring results. Is this typical with vBSEO?

It took about 6 months for my site to become fully re-indexed in Google...

    Great website

Couple points: I see your forum's main page Google Page Rank is currently 0.

Q: “My sitemap has about 1350 urls in it. . . . . its been around for 2+ years, but I cannot seem to get all the pages indexed. Am I missing something here?”
A: One of the classic crawling strategies that Google has used is the amount of PageRank on your pages. So just because your site has been around for a couple years (or that you submit a sitemap), that doesn’t mean that we’ll automatically crawl every page on your site. In general, getting good quality links would probably help us know to crawl your site more deeply.
I see you have recently changed your forums from /forum to /lounge, I suggest adding a sitewide link to your forum's homepage (I was unable to find any) as this will let Google know that your forums is an important part of your site.

Also, you might want to start building links-in to your forum's index page in order to build some Page Rank

    Juan,

I have links built into each of the sidebars on all 68 of our blog network sites pointing to the forum's location (like this, for example). The vast majority of our sites have a PR of at least 4, and as low as 3. The highest linking page has a PR of 6.

We've been BoingBoinged and Deadspinned (PRs of 9 and 8, respectively), too.

I realize that it will take time to grow the forum's PR, and that we're in-between PR updates (the last PR update took forever to happen), but it seems that the indexing time for Google and MSN is taking an awfully long time.

Are there any other ways to get the bots to crawl the site?

    vBulletin Version 3.5.4
    vBSEO Version 2.4.5

    Google: (site:sportscartel.com) - 55
    Google vBSEO - 2

    Yahoo: (site:sportscartel.com) - 50
Yahoo vBSEO - 0 (well, 1, but it's the vbseo domain with a sportscartel.com reference)

    MSN: (site:sportscartel.com) - 125
MSN vBSEO - 3 (2 of which are vbseo forum links)

I'm severely down in all 3 search engines, and almost non-existent in Google. Most importantly, my Google AdSense revenue has taken a MAJOR drop.

What, if anything, am I doing wrong?

Just be patient. I bailed on the software after a little over 5 months due to this and a loss of adsense revenue. I came back recently to give it another try afters seeing others doing very well with this over an extended period of time.

With this change, you have to think long term.

You currently have 662 pages optimized by vbseo showing. Keep in mind that if you use the /lounge right now, you are going to get very inaccurate result.

For example. I am showing 5,050 vbseo pages on my sports forum, yet when I use /forum I am only showing 43 pages total. Google is not differentiating different sections of sites well at all right now, especially for many sites that have existed for quite a while.
