Spiders hitting my site.

Hi guys,
I wrote a while back that my pages have dropped on yahoo. Today the most incredible ting happened. Concidering my site is less than three months old I have a feeling I am beign sandboxed by google. the highest number of visitors on my site before today was 14 about six weeks ago. Alas this evening I started noticing a steady build up of traffic and the number of guests on my site went up to 57 and stayed between 28 and 52 for the next two hours.
Is this good news as to why the sudden increase in traffic which I suspect are spiders. And to those of u that have experienced this what does it mean.

I did make some adjustment that was suggested to me about two weeks ago.
