Pre vbSEO I used a different domain (tntunauthorized.com) and Mambo CMS

My indexing on google has been sporadic, currently in the dump as of this wekend.

300 pages in February 2006
10,000 pages in March
740,000 pages in August (yeah right)
currently 505 pages.

Yahoo was consistent until they started using Site Explorer (currently 6045 pages indexed, 744 inlinks).

OK... here's the update since September... and my thoughts...

Google
13,200 pages in June 2007 (seems to be stuck around 11,000-13,000 for the last few months)

Yahoo
29,687 pages (probably a more accurate representation)

I think I get a better impact using the VbSEO sitemap generator than VbSEO itself (pages are getting indexed faster in google) although I think VBSEO has helped me get a better page ranking (2 to 4).

There was so much screwy stuff going on with google, from 500 to 740,000 pages, that I don't think I've got a good timeline to test with.

I learned a lot of neat SEO and performance tweaking here, such as making the welcome headers an image map, and I did the same for the shoutbox, for non-members.

I used the custom 404 page that VBSEO makes easy to use, but the 404 page itself used up a lot of bandwidth and resources to display, due to a lot of missing pages at the time, so I decided to disable that, but still a good idea.

2 months later from the last report...

Google is down to 11,700 pages for unknown reasons, no changes have been made (other than normal upgrades) since the first of the year.

Yahoo is up to 30,731 pages, which reflects the normal progression from 2 months ago.

7 months later...
Google is up to 13,700 pages, and the "quality" of the pages are better than in August, although its not anywhere near my total number of pages. I seem to be getting better search results though.

Yahoo claims 46,362 pages, which is probably more accurate in number, but the wrong pages, indexing "Database error" pages and "Who posted?" queries from misc.php a number of times. It also doesn't seem to be recognizing my robots.txt file direction very well.

How is your overall traffic? Also how many keywords are you getting traffic for now?

Traffic is down about 15%, Page Rank fell from 4 to 2 (probably algorithm change I would think). Keywords are up, but that doesn't seem to matter with traffic being down.

Current as of today. Traffic down 5% from April.

The only thing changed in the last month were upgrades to vBulletin and vBSEO, and a different style. Keywords have changed to point to more "joke" oriented threads.
