    Site report: NBADimensions.net - NBA Forum

    FORUM URL:
    NBA Basketball Forum | NBA Dimensions

    I've just installed vBSEO today. I'll keep a real good progress report going. Let's hope I'm successful, I'm still not 100% sure of how to configure and optimize everything. But hopefully I will within the next hour or so.

    Anyway to the statistics:

    Current forum statistics:
    Threads: 1,618, Posts: 8,276, Members: 137
    Welcome to our newest member, livinglegend23

    The visiting statistics:
    Visits: 73
    Page views: 336
    Pages/Visit: 4.60

    I just registered to analytics yesterday.

    Also, where do I gather other statistics for this review, and how? I've been viewing google analytics and it's really quite limited.

    Still no bot activity or anything new. Progress is exactly the same. I wonder when I'll start getting some type of success. Could someone also explain how I found how many index pages I have on search engines? I have no idea.

    Just a quick update, I'm losing links. I'm guessing that the spiders are erasing previous links without the rewrite.

    Still way to early, but 'ey I'm inpatient. Some statistics in terms of indexing over the last 24 hours.

    GOOGLE: 886 -> 995
    site:nbadimensions.net - Google Search
    YAHOO: 39,628 -> 38,872
    Site Explorer - Search Results
    MSN: 59 -> 59
    site:nbadimensions.net - Live Search
    ASK: 47 -> 47
    NBA Dimensions site:nbadimensions.net - Ask.com Search

    With vbseo in search term:

    GOOGLE: 1 -> 2
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Google Search
    YAHOO: 0 -> 18
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Yahoo! Search Results
    MSN: 0 -> 0
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Live Search
    ASK: 0 -> 1
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Ask.com Search

    So from that I'm guessing they're discarding my old links and creating new ones? What I also did was restart the whole forum last week. So I'm guessing that also contributes it. Someone give me some feedback I have like 6 consecutive posts.

    Any change in your traffic yet, or long tail search terms?

    You should create a request for critique in our critique forum as well for further feedback.

    No nothing has really happened. And I have created a thread, just no one has replied.

    A week later:

    GOOGLE: 995-> 554
    site:nbadimensions.net - Google Search
    YAHOO: 38,872 -> 39,401
    Site Explorer - Search Results
    MSN: 59 -> 59
    site:nbadimensions.net - Live Search
    ASK: 47 -> 33
    NBA Dimensions site:nbadimensions.net - Ask.com Search

    With vbseo in search term:

    GOOGLE: 2 -> 3
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Google Search
    YAHOO: 18 -> 933
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Yahoo! Search Results
    MSN: 0 -> 0
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Live Search
    ASK: 1 -> 2
    site:nbadimensions.net vbseo - Ask.com Search

    Well, Yahoo is doing something. But I'm also losing a heap of pages from google? Can this be because of my previous older pages. Keep in mind, I restarted the whole forum and all it's content a few days after I installed the vbSEO. So that's around 200,000+ posts, 4,000+ members etc. Is that why my pages are going down? I'm noticing big strides in Yahoo, will I be noticing this with google soon? Perhaps it's not as bad as I'm thinking. However spider activity isn't really improving, if anything it's decreasing.

    Fluctuations in your index page count now is normal. Google has to update all of the old URL versions with the new ones, and there will be a bunch of duplicate/noise content that must get dropped completely.

    Make sure you are running our sitemap to help accelerate the process.

    It's early now. I like to monitor results over 30/60/90 days.
