    question on google Analytics

I havent installed vbseo yet, and an almost ready to do so.

I am looking at google analytics, and was wondering, should I install that analytic code prior to installing vbseo?

In addition, should the google code ONLY be installed on the forum home page, or should I install it deeper?

vbseo saves you a template edit (and future headaches for reverts) by adding it real-time to the footer of your page.

It has no bearing with vbseo... so it's up to you if you install it now or later. vbseo just makes it easy to add.

It should be placed on ALL pages you wish to track, thus the footer (a global template) is the best place.

Thank you, I found this out, just a moment ago. But appreciate the assistance alot!

I've installed vbseo and an at the part where it askes you:
Select a URL format preset from the dropdown list below and click the "Load Preset" button. You may also set a customized URL structure by expanding the Advanced Settings (click the '+' link).

My gut instinct is to choose the type used here at vbseo, since you wrote this, but I wanted to ask if there is any real important differences?

    Mostly, personal preference.

All 5 will rank you just fine.

It's more a matter of what you have for a site.

If you move threads constantly, its best to chose a non-heirarchic
    ie,

    forum-title/thread-id/
    gets moved to
    forum-title2/thread-id/
    it basically needs to re-index.

    vs if you use non-heircarchical,

    /thread-id/
    moved anywhere is simply
    /thread-id/

So, think along those lines of how you manage your forum/community. Only you know what's best.

I personally use 2 different versions on my 4 sites.
2 are heirachical with full titles
    /forum-name/
    /forum-name/thread-title-id/
and 2 are non-, and id based
    /f123/
    /t456/

both versions have ranked well for me, and i can't say one has done me better than the other.

Once installation is finished, is there a list or something, explaining what my next chore should be after installing vbseo?

    1) save license key in vbseocp
    2) tweak settings in vbseocp
    3) install sitemap generator
3a) if previously installed, change option in vboptions for the sitemap to reference the vbseo instalation (theres a radio box)
3b) make sure you have a google webmasters account to track and submit said sitemap
    4) focus on content, and friendly SEO-oriented theme for guests.
