    Publicly posting traffic and other statistics in the forums?

    A few members are interested in seeing some of our board statistics. Now I do not have a problem with posting this for normal members, but could this be of any advantage for competitive board owners if they know some of this information? In that case I would rather not post this publicly...

    Personally I can't find any way how they would take advantage of this information, but you never know, maybe some of you have experience with this.

    I assume it's all IP to geo matching, tied in with other regional statistics that are available from marketing research and census data.

    I wouldn't be so quickly to dismis the site. I agree with the methods listed by Joe above.

    I don't release public data like that, but general stuff to the advertisers. I guess if I did release more data, I might get more advertisers...it's a catch-22

    The unique visitor count they have is very very low compared to what my site actually gets.
