I just bought vBSEO for my forums.. I will be posting my progress here every few days or so.

Traffic: ~1000 Uniques/day, ~3900 Page Views/Day, 1,100 Members (25 Members/day)

Traffic and registrations are slightly higher.

Hi Brian - it's probably best to do your updates about 1 time per month. In this way, we are able to see more significant trends. Of course, you're free to monitor it on a frequent basis. However, keep in mind that the Google site: operator produces fluctuating and unreliable results. This is why we encourage users to view it as something to get an idea of a *trend* from over a longer period.

Over the short term, sometimes the fluctuations make it extremely difficult to get a true sense of lasting progress.

Also - keep an eye on your actual traffic and range of keywords you are generating traffic for. This is the absolute best indicator of your growing success with vBSEO.

Sounds like you are starting to see some positive signs.

20 Day Report:

Keyword Position: #7 (in IE.. don't know why it's different.. guessing its due to different datacenters) #11 (in FireFox)
Google: Results 1 - 100 of about 4,690 from cod4boards.com (+2890 from inital)
Yahoo: 2200 (+206)
MSN: 74 (+42)

Traffic: Around 2,000 uniques per day for the last few days (up from 1,000 from initial report)
Registrations: 50-60 per day (+30 from inital)

You are doing excellent. Keep us posted of further growth in your traffic.

Just a little update:

Targeted Keyword Ranking: 2-3 (sometimes 4), depending on datacenter used.

2,500+ Visitors daily (2,900 yesterday)

60-90 Registrations per day

I forgot to include keywords before, but it has definitely increased since vBseo was installed.
Search sent 60,864 total visits via 28,813 keywords

Your traffic is up again, now by over 25% in the past 30 days. This is outstanding.

In the last few days Google has been slowly declining (-400 visitors from Google in about 3 days) Have any idea what could be going on?

Have you changed anything? Could be just a temporary phenomenon.

I don't think so. It seems to have leveled out at ~2,350 visits a day. Before this it was at around 2,700-3,00 per day. Kind of sad, but glad that Google didn't completely destroy my site

The forum has been sold since my last report, but I should give credit is due. Right now the forum receives around 100,000 unique visitors per month and 650K page views, and has 13,000 members (pretty darn good for forum which isn't a year old ). Of course vBSEO wasn't the only factor that contributed to the success of the forum (I spent alot of time on it as well), but vBSEO made sure none of my efforts went wasted due to poor SEO that sometimes comes from large peices of software like vBulletin.

A++, vBSEO is a must buy for anyone who wants a successful forum.

#1 for the keyword "Call of Duty 4 Forums", took down the authority site (sitelinks) for that term, and became the authority site for that term itself.

Over 30,000 keywords bring traffic to the forum
