What is the # of different keywords you are getting traffic for? Referred to as your "search long tail".
For the time periode of Mar 4, 2008 - Apr 3, 2008
Search sent 40,555 total visits via 19,745 keywords
I have no comparison for that, is that good? bad? medium?
If that is what you mean. If not, please specify where I can find these "search long tail"![]()
A large # of keywords delivering traffic is your "search long tail".
That's pretty good. As you can see, you average a little over 2 hits per keyword. But the sheer # of keywords you get traffic for equates to a very nice monthly traffic volume.
vBSEO helps optimized specifically for the long tail, boosting the # of keywords that deliver traffic.
It's growing on a persistent basis and I like that
Any optimizing tips by any chance?
You could check out the part about keyword differentiation from:
Strategy for Optimizing Keywords in Your vBulletin Forum Title and Descriptions
The best way to be successful with the long tail is to have good SEO (you do with vBSEO), and produce a lot of content (within your niche).
If you want you can try to identify more related keywords, and create threads that can help your users naturally branch off.
So the idea would be to promote diversity of content posting (still within your niche). The ultimate goal would be to get a large set of related keywords covered, so that they can become a part of your traffic bearing long tail.
I don't know how it is called but google likes us very much.
