Well after some great success with vbSEO on an experimental forum, I abandoned that project and decided to focus on something else. I used to run New England Streetriders but I left in 2003, and since then it sat unchanged (vB 2.3.2 anyone?) while the level of user activity dwindled.

This year I stepped back in to handle the technical side of the community, and on January 27th I upgraded the forum, installed some extras, and also installed vbSEO. We've had over 200 new members since then, and we're finally starting to see some substantial traffic from search engies. It's taken a while for Google to get up to speed with the new urls but over the last month things have finally started to improve. Anyway, here's the graph for Google referrals from 1/27 to 5/19 - hopefully it keeps climbing!

Just another update...my search engine referrals continued to rise since the initial report. Membership has increased, as well as ad revenue. Being a regional forum, it had always been difficult to bring in new traffic but with vbSEO running, it's done a lot of the work for me.

I recently started a new forum and installed vbSEO from day 1, which has already yielded me some decent keyword positions despite only having a handful of active members so far. Gotta love it!
