My VBSEO Review

My VBSEO Review.

I started my forum in October 2005 and this was my first attempt at running my own forum, after 2 months I had not seen any real referrals from search engines or any number of pages in the SERPS (Search Engine Result Pages).

At this stage I stated to look for a helping had with SEO for my site. My first idea was to hire somebody to work along side me taking care of the SEO searching the Web for this person I kept coming across the name VBSEO. So I had a look at the software and I found what it was offering was amazing and I decided what I needed was not a paid SEO expert but this software.

So just before the Christmas holidays I purchased the software and like many got worried when I was not emailed the software but within the day I had excess to the software though the UserCp.

I had the software installed in under 10 minutes but I was a bit put off by all the options that where unfamiliar to me. So I searched the forums here and used a set of settings that had been uploaded to the site. And then I stated to tweak them to my likening I found this really easy and with 10 mins I understood how the software settings worked (expect the CRR). Within the next week Google bots where flooding my site and slowly but surely my site numbers in Google where climbing. And then the referrals started I am now getting 30 - 50 referrals a day from Google for a wide range of keywords; I have to give full credit to VBSEO for this. I always hear about the Google sandbox for new sites and I was worried that I would have to wait a long 6 months before I got any traffic from Google, I now believe the Google sandbox for new sites is a old wives tale that admins use to explain away the lack of referrals from the Search Engines.

When I first installed the software I could not get the Yahoo Site map to work and posted a thread on it. Within 24hrs Oleg came along in PM and after I offered him FTP excess fixed my ht access file for me. He did not say to me do this, do that and the other like other sites have done in the past. What he said was he would fix it for me as I was lost, this was when I realised that the staff here are not staff from other sites and are helpful to novices like me. But most amazingly I was having an issue with my one of my work (the forum is a personal project) sites that does not have a forum and Oleg offered and did go into the site and fix the problem.


My forum is a not for profit site and as such I can not comment on revenue from ad sense being increased by VBSEO but I will comment on some issues that have been laid at the foot of the team here.

• If you are earning revenue from your site the implantation into your site should be thought out and not rushed into, possibly even spending a day or day here in the forums explaining what you want and drawing up your settings plan with more experienced users. I have read threads here where the customer was not happy with the results and it is clear if sometime had been spent planning the settings they would have been happier customers.

• Google is all over the place at the moment regardless of what sort of site you are running this is not the doing of VBSEO and the only way to contra this is paying for ads.

• Like Viagra this software can point you in the right direction but you still need to put the work in.

Overall I highly recommend this software for any site running vBulletin.

I will finish and spell check later as windows update is trying to turn my PC off.

As the thread is not locked , everyone has a right to respond the thread if they are following forum rules. vBSEO.com forums has Staff online all the time. If you suspect any message violates forum rules please try reporting them .

after many lawyers letters with a company that was listed on the site who where trying to get me to remove the site as it was ranking before their own site warning people not to deal with them, I offered to delete the forum for £xx for the peaceful life, after deleteing I just let the URL and hosting die of, updated the sig links now not to point to it.

That's horrible! I hope you at least got a pretty penny for the settlement :(
