My Fooftball Forum - vbseo case study

    Hello,

Been running my football site for 8 years now, its has a stead number of visitors but its not increasing or decreasing. I tried vbseo in 2006 but had to disable it as my server at the time was rubbish. I'm now on a VPS server and i've installed it, the site is running smoothly at the moment. I'm going to keep a close eye on my stats the coming months and hopefully I can get a big improvement in traffic to the site.

Here are some stats from my eXTReMe tracking account.

I'm excited about the big hike in the prediction for todays traffic, vbseo has been on for a day and all my links in google are showing the new seo links. So all is promising at the moment.

Certainly seasonal It's good that you did the add on before the football season 'kicks off'.
One day is far too soon to say anything, and that is a great sign if you are already seeing seo'ed links in the indexes. Rmember, this takes time. You might even lose traffic for a month or so. It's the long term gain you're looking for.

Thanks for the reply, yeah its great to see the links being indexed, a day was far too soon lol, everything is still the same at the moment, but I know in the long term this will work for me, it worked previously for me but I had to take it down for server issues due to me being on a shared server. I'm now on VPS which is slightly better and everything is running perfectly still. Got a little widget on my HTC Desire which shows me the google analytics traffic so keeping a close eye on it .

Will post more info in a few weeks time.

    Cheers

    Michael

    Hello,

Another quick update, the sites losing traffic every day but i'm going to hold out with this as you stated that the site might even lose some traffic before it starts to pick up. Below is the latest traffic from the last 20 days.

Yes, losing a bit in the beginning is perfectly normal. Just let it run it's course.
