    Post JDMUniverse.com Progress

I just wanted to make a thread with ongoing progress of my site

I just installed vBSeo about 3 weeks ago.

My pageviews went up 400% and visits have doubled. I am breaking records for most registrations per day, every day so far

    Here are search engine stats:

    Google
    128,000

    Yahoo
    Pages 230,646 | Inlinks (78,357)

    MSN
    688

    Ask
    1180

The site will be 7 years old in March. Forum stats are:

    Threads: 87,618, Posts: 1,326,348, Members: 43,506

Hopefully as the months/years go on, I can update this thread with higher #'s

10 Days Later. Also, I had a huge database problem and my site was down for 3 days. On top of that, my site loads slow because I am on an older server(working on moving now). I can only imagine how stats will be, once I move to a newer faster server and users stick around longer.

So far, thing ONLY thing that I would say is a downside to VBSeo, would be that it definately puts a load on a crappy server. I'm on a dedicated but, a dinosaur.

    Overall, I can't believe I haven't done this sooner.

    Google
    164,000 (+36,000)

    Yahoo
    Pages 227,126 | Inlinks (80,303) (-3000, +2000)

    MSN
    368 (-300)

    Ask
    3650 (+2400)

    Thumbs up

I was on a dedicated when I started this thread, An old crappy one. I am now on a shiny brandy new one and the site is now blazing fast!

As far as traffic, I had alot of outages with the crappy server so real #'s are unreliable. This month will be a slightly better guide but, November will have some real stats.

But, for reference I went from:

August: ~6000 Daily Pages 2000 Daily Visits
September: ~29000 Daily Pages 3600 Daily Visits
October: ~70000 Daily Pages 4500 Daily Visits

ALL of the above is on a crappy server that was down half the time and ran slow as crap when it was up! I can't wait to see the next few months growth!

    New Update:

    Google
    210,000(+82,000)

    Yahoo
    Pages 209,542 | Inlinks (74,331) (-21,000, -4000)

    MSN
    379 (-300)

    Ask
    2760 (+1600)

Yup! and seriously, my site has been HURTING for the past month and a half limping on a crap server. Down half the time.

I have high hopes for the coming months.

I'm just so sad that over the past 1 1/2 - 2 years my Adsense earnings have dropped about 500% :( No clue why... Economy?

That's incredible, SIINSI! Did you go with vbseo defaults, Brian's recommendations, or what? I'm still waiting for something to happen myself...

Thanks Johnny. I went with most if not all of Brian's recommendations. I actually noticed a change almost immediately after installing.

I'll be honest, that confuses me a bit. I guess I don't really understand it. Is it just asking how many hits and how many keywords bring traffic?

    Newest Update:

    Google
    277,000(+149,000)

    Yahoo
    Pages 211,419 | Inlinks (88,347) (-19,000, +10,000)

Yes, the long tail is about how many different keywords bring you traffic.

The idea is that instead of focusing on just a few keywords, you get traffic from thousands of keywords. Small amounts from each add up to significant (and more targeted traffic).

Ok I installed around the beginning of September so:

    9/11/2008 to 10/11/2008
Search sent 38,510 total visits via 28,950 keywords

    10/10/2008 to 11/10/2008
Search sent 76,235 total visits via 54,712 keywords

    Is that what you mean?
