A+ In Initial Product Support

I am just finishing up 6 weeks of hell where my site was hacked, so I left the shared hosting world only to find out my CMS system was plagued with Malicious scripts (Some Brazilian hackers that actually copyright there stuff). I ended up recreating my main site from an early 2006 backup since I knew it was clean. I also took this opportunity to switch CMS and updated all my software and mods, so lets just say I am totally burned out on web site stuff, Dammit Jim, I'm an Architect not a PHP programmer!

I decide to bite the bullet and purchase vBseo on a weekend. Tuesday came along and I still hadn't heard anything from vBseo, only PayPal saying payment went through minutes after placing the order. So now I am thinking unfavorable thoughts and use the contact form to let them know I would appreciate some response and a link as to where I can download my software

I was immediately contacted and given access to the software so hey I am kind of happy now. But wait, I install it and things aren't working, links go to nowhere, I read some things in the forums and apply them, no go. I disable the plugin, still problems, I have to physically remove the files I uploaded to my server to get the site to work again!

I open a ticket and explain that I am in no mood to thouroughly go through the whole forum and find the solutions and that the email I received said in 5 minutes I would have a search engine freindly site, and that I thought that was apparently very optimistic. OK, I have a portal, galleries, links directory and mods, I realized some setup would be required but I needed my search narrowed down.

I was then contacted by support staff by the name of Oleg and I did a little foot work. He asked for FTP access so I set that up and made an administrator's account in the forums for him just in case.

Next thing I know Oleg has re-installed the software and gotten a majority of the problems fixed (he foolishly thought he was done) and things working, I then went through the site and made a list for him (whether he wanted it or not) of the things not working and we worked through corresponence for the last three days until everything appears to be working

So I wanted to say that even if the last 6 weeks have been a living hell for me, Oleg ended the streak on a bright note and what started out looking like a poor investment of $150.00 ended up including hours of tech support and some of the changes we made actually drastically sped up the forums (something I was perplexed at since I was no longer sharing a server with 100s of other sites), sure the portal links is a bit slower now, but once you enter the forums, galleries, etc. the site is faster than it was before.

I just wanted to make sure the staff at vBseo realized that I was pleasantly impressed (unfortunately that doesn't happen often) with the support once the ball got rolling. Of course this is just the end of the first day of having things working correctly but even if things went down hill from here, I would still be impressed with the initial support I received. Thank you Oleg!!

That's good to hear. The support here is great. Also, Oleg has helped me in the past...great guy Glad to hear everything worked out for you in the end. I also know about weeks in hell...and it's not fun :P
