Improvement???

Well I am sorry to be the downer here in the forum, but I feel as though vBSEO is as of now only crashing my forum. I followed instructions and ended up with many problems that quickly changed my forum from a perfect running site to a hardly dependable one.

The very moment I noticed things were wrong I did what anyone else would do (hopefully), I submitted a technical support ticket.

So here I am STILL WAITING 8 hours later for a solution. To top all of this off, I spent the entire 8 hours explaining to the tech where my forum's root folder is located and that I DEFINITELY DO HAVE A WORKING .HTACCESS FILE (which he does not know how to view). So virtually no progress has been done within the "full-shift" of waiting. The only thing I got, were questions he could have answered if only he looked at my server with the ftp address I originally provided for him.

Yes I am a little fed-up over this, partially because it is now 5:15 in the morning here. I can't wait any longer, off to bed I go... Hopefully I can come back to this thread in the morning and let you guys and gals know that everything ended up going great.

I do know the vBSEO staff are some great individuals... and the forums are very content rich and helpful. So far I am just being taken by surprise.

UPDATE: Turns out 16 hours later, nothing is resolved. I didn't even get an updated ticket response as to what is going on. (what a way to start your new day)

I am now beginning to contemplate uninstalling this product.

I guess the fact that my forum is in a folder within my domain's root is to far fetched for vbseo programming.

Our apologies it took this long for a support agent to take a look to your support ticket.

Two of our support team members are currently sick and offline. These agents are mostly responsible for monitoring tickets during the time period your request has been in queue.

As Mike said above, he is looking into it at the moment. I would expect it to be resolved very shortly.

Hello Juan and Michael,

No hard feelings with the support problem I WAS having. I just wish someone would have informed me of these support issues earlier. Now that I know some of the main support guys are out, I can definitely understand why things were slowing down.

As of right now, I am getting very good help from all of you, and I thank you for taking the time to figure out my many problems.

Thankfully I am almost back to 100%, as I am one of the two that are sick .

The hardest part is once a tech assigns himself to your ticket, it is removed from the pending tickets so we do not see the ticket until it is brought to our attention like this.
